Empower the future.
Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences Foundation for Academic Excellence, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences (TSAS), an independent public charter school in Tulsa. While started originally as a fundraising organization, today we also encompass parent and family involvement, alumni and community connections, volunteering and so many other things. Because of this we prefer to call ourselves the “Friends of TSAS”
In contrast to other public schools, TSAS is unable to secure funds through bonds or other forms of public financing. Financial support comes from community donations and grants.
Our mission is to provide educational, charitable, and scientific funding for academic purposes beyond those ordinarily funded by the school system.
The TSAS FAE, established in 2009, is a community-driven organization dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for the 525 students enrolled in grades 6-12 at TSAS. A diverse board membership consisting of dedicated parent volunteers, TSAS alumni, and engaged community members collaboratively work to support TSAS in achieving its mission of academic excellence and student success. The foundation serves as the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), which organizes and coordinates volunteers for school events.
